STEP ON GREEN · GRS
Recycled materials
GRS certification. Assurance in recycling.
Global Recycled Standard certification
Synthelast holds one of the world's most recognised recycling certifications: the Global Recycled Standard (GRS). It was the first Spanish company in the thermoplastic compounds sector for footwear to obtain this certification.
GRS certification meets the needs of companies seeking to verify recycled content in finished and intermediate products, ensure good labour practices and minimise harmful environmental and chemical impacts during production.

“Using these recycled materials helps reduce environmental impact and improve the carbon footprint of companies' production.”
STEP ON GREEN
The immediate future
Synthelast is committed to caring for the environment and has spent years developing sustainable materials for footwear. This initiative seeks greener alternatives to materials from non-renewable sources such as oil, while reducing waste and reusing it in the production chain.
Step On Green includes recycled materials certified with the GRS label. Synthelast is also researching other fields within sustainability, such as the development of bio-based products and the chemical recycling of thermoset materials like polyurethane through the RENOVEX range.
GRS recycled product lines
We develop formulations incorporating up to 100% recycled material while maintaining optimum mechanical properties and an excellent aesthetic finish.
Thermoplastic rubber (SBS compounds)
With over 50 years of experience formulating these compounds, we have developed three main GRS-certified recycled thermoplastic rubber lines to suit the quality required by each customer, in black and colours*.
SCTR GRS/36
Compact TR · Standard quality
SCTR GRS/10
Compact TR · High quality
SCTR GRS/MT-2
Compact TR · Rubber-like finish
*For colour production, please consult the technical department in advance.

Other thermoplastic materials (TPU)
We also offer our customers recycling of other thermoplastic products, including thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and polycarbonate.
